  • The “Nuts and Bolts” of the Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS)

The State of New Hampshire’s prevention system relies heavily on YRBS data to understand the prevalence of risk factors, protective factors, and health behaviors among high school-aged youth. The October 2026 Prevention Community of Practice (CoP) will be the first in a series of sessions in the 2026–2027 CoP season exploring the YRBS. The presenter, seasoned in YRBS operations and administration at the state level, will give participants firsthand insight into the process of developing the questions, connecting to schools, administering the survey, and the process of receiving the data from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

  • Doing More with What We Have: Peer Recovery Volunteer Programs

During times when the peer recovery field is facing funding challenges, it’s important to know how to utilize our most valuable resource—our people—through effective volunteer programs.

Building on our June Community of Practice where New Hampshire professionals showcased no- and low-cost recovery programming, the October session will explore innovative ideas, challenges, and solutions to managing volunteer programs in a variety of settings. An all-star cast of presenters from three different Recovery Community Organizations will share their experiences: HOPE for NH Recovery, SOS, and Archways.
