YRBS Data in Focus
Students Are Speaking.

Focus on Data-Driven Insights
Data matters. Today’s students are navigating a complex world. They lived through a pandemic and continue to face pressure from social media, school, family, and peers. Some students may not feel safe at home. Others experience bullying, lockdown drills, or other stressors at school. It’s no surprise that youth mental health concerns have been rising.
The Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS) provides data that can help schools, communities, and partners better understand the risks and challenges students face. It also highlights student strengths, including protective factors that can be built on. YRBS data can help show whether past efforts are working and point the way toward future actions, partnerships, and supports to improve student outcomes.
Knowing the right actions to take can be hard. YRBS data can help.
